In all cases you should contact the Head Teacher at the school of your choice. If there are more applicants than places available, the Head Teacher will admit children having regard to (in order of priority)
- Brother or sister already in attendance at the school.
- Relevant medical and social factors.
- Proximity of home address to the school as the crow flies.
NOTE: Sometimes parents place their child’s name on a school’s Nursery
waiting list at a very early stage. It must be understood that
decisions on Nursery admissions are made only by reference to the above
criteria and not to the date the child’s name was entered on the
waiting list. It should also be noted that, while children will
normally transfer from the Nursery class to the Reception class in the
same, it cannot always be guaranteed.
Children of parents who pay their Council Tax to Walsall only may be admitted to St. Joseph’s Nursery.
